Bailey Zappe, born in Victoria, Texas, is a rising American football quarterback. Growing up in Victoria, he attended Victoria East High School, where he showcased his impressive skills. During his senior year, Zappe amassed 3,770 passing yards and 37 touchdowns, along with 633 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. Despite his standout performance, he received a single scholarship offer, which he accepted from Houston Baptist University.

At Houston Baptist, Zappe began his college career with modest statistics, passing for 1,548 yards and five touchdowns in his freshman year. His standout performances came in his redshirt sophomore year, where he threw for 3,811 yards and 35 touchdowns. The COVID-19 pandemic impacted his redshirt junior season, but Zappe’s move to Western Kentucky marked a turning point. Under the guidance of offensive coordinator Zach Kittley and with top receiver Jerreth Sterns joining him, Zappe flourished.

In 2021, he set the FBS season records for passing yards and touchdowns, finishing with 5,967 yards and 62 touchdowns, surpassing previous records held by B.J. Symons and Joe Burrow.

NFL Career
